Last year’s festival was bigger and better than ever with over 4,000 attendees!

This year's scheduled events include arts and crafts, live entertainment, variety of foods, Food Trucks, children’s events, fire trucks and much, much more.

We are currently accepting vendor applications for the 2024 Cotton Festival

 

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THE APPLICATION, TERMS AND CONDITIONS VERY CLOSELY, CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE.

 

You are required to submit your SC Tax #

This is a requirement from the SC Department of Revenue. If you do not have one you can go online to request one at https://dor.sc.gov. Your name and number will be submitted to the Tax office prior to the festival.

 

Booths for crafter, food vendors and food trucks are LIMITED, please do not wait until the deadline to return your application for spaces may not be available.

Vendor Applications

Thank you for your interest in Clio's Cotton Festival! 

Please fill out the appropriate application below to register as a vendor.

You will be asked to provide your Sales Tax ID along with other pertinent information. 

Craft Vendor

12' x 12' Space - $60

Food Vendor

Food Trucks - $150

12'x12' Space - $75

Festival Rules

​

  1. We look forward to your participation! Only items listed on the vendor’s application, and approved by the festival, may be sold. Vendors caught breaching this contract will be removed. 

  2. The Clio Festival Committee reserves the right to deny applications. All application are on a First Come/First Serve basis. 

  3. Approved application will receive confirmation from Clio festival committee. For faster response include your email address.

  4. Prompt payment of fees as stipulated in the invoice will signify acceptance as vendor in the festival. Refunds will not be issued once you are accepted as a vendor. 

  5. Deadlines for applications to be received is September 25th.  After September 25th, a $50 late fee will be applied.

  6. Vendors may set up from 7:00am - 9:00am. Set up of all booths must be completed by 9:30am and all sales completed by 4:00pm. Please have all equipment and supplies moved from each booth by 5:00pm for the City of Clio to clean the festival area. 

  7. All vendors must provide their own tents, tables, extension cords, and equipment. No noisy generators allowed on festival site. 

  8. Booth spaces 12’x12’. Vendors needing additional space will need to buy an additional booth.

  9. Vendors will be inspected for use of electricity and water according to payment submitted with application. 

  10. All food vendors cooking with electric, charcoal, or gas, MUST HAVE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER on hand. Vendors must provide airtight containers for disposal of cooking oils, grease, and waste materials. Food Vendors are responsible for removing this waste from the site. Trash cans will be provided for trash.

  11. South Carolina regulations now require that all propane cylinders between 4-4- ponds must have the new Overfill Protection Device Safety Valves. 

  12. Strict DHEC standards will be observed. All food vendors will be inspected by DHEC. All perishable items and pies are to be kept on ice.

  13. Vendors will be solely responsible for the security and safety of vendor’s cash, coupons, equipment, goods, inventory, supplies or other property.

  14. Vendors must occupy the space assigned. No subletting of booths is allowed.

  15. NO curbside vending or vending while walking through the festival will be allowed.

  16. No advertising or sale of beer or alcoholic beverage. If you are caught selling these products, they will be confiscated, and you will be removed from the festival. Vendors and their employees are not permitted to drink alcoholic beverages during festival hours. (By order of Clio Police Department)

  17. No silly string, poppers, tinted hair spray, flea market items, smoke bombs, toy guns, swords, sparklers, or fireworks may be sold at the Cotton Festival per order of the Clio Police Department. No dogs allowed, except for seeing eye dogs. 

  18. No raffles or counterfeit items permitted.

  19. Political handbills, flyers, posters, banners, stickers, or other literature must be kept within assigned area.

  20. This is a family festival. Vendors and employees must be properly attired at all times.

  21. Festival management has the right to remove vendors and employees who violate these rules. If a vendor is removed from the festival site, no refund will be issued.

  22. No rain date is scheduled for the festival. No refunds can be issued if the festival is canceled or delayed due to inclement weather.

  23. The Clio Festival Committee, The Cotton Festival, The City of Clio, and Marlboro County are in no way responsible or liable for personal adversity or acts of God.
